Textured Plates & Platters
Carving (Sgraffito) is certainly one way to add texture to plates, but did you know that you can roll, press, and stamp interesting surface designs onto your rolled out slabs of clay? First you’ll get to see how to use a slab roller...you’ll think you’re rolling out pizza dough! Then you’ll find just the shape you want your piece to be and then choose the patterns you love to stamp into your clay projects, creating symmetrical or asymmetrical designs. Handbuilding pottery is so much easier than throwing on a wheel. Anyone can do it! Great class for the entire family. (Please, call us if you need a discount to make that happen.)
