You’ve been practicing the art of rosemaling for awhile now, and you’re ready to learn new styles, new techniques and new tips from an expert. Here’s your opportunity to learn from Vesterheim Gold Medal winner Ken Magnuson!
The fall advanced class will feature the Old Rogeland style. The first one to three hours, students will “brush up” on stroke work and handling and caring for brushes. We’ll also spend a little time on wood prep and finishing a project. Pictures and patterns will be available.
Ken recommends students paint on painted paper or cardboard (breakfast food boxes work well). Ken believes you will get more out of the class this way, as you can write comments on it and use it for future reference. You may choose to start a project to be completed at home, such as a plate or other object.
