This five week series will focus on mindfulness meditation - the practice of "peaceful abiding". Open to newcomers and experienced meditators alike, meditation instruction will be provided in the practice of quietly being with ourselves…tuning in to our breath and our environment with the intent of training the mind to be calm and stable. Weekly meditation in a group setting is great way to develop or strengthen a consistent practice that will enhance your life.
Taught by Sue Babcock, PsyD, a licensed psychologist and established meditation practitioner who enjoys teaching about the benefits of meditation and mindfulness.
Sue Babcock earned her doctorate at the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology. She is returning to Minnesota after living and working in Florida the past several years providing mindfulness based psychotherapy and meditation classes and retreats.
She has been practicing meditation for the past decade having trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and also as a member of Shambhala - a global community of meditators inspired by the principle that every human being has a fundamental nature of basic goodness
