Little Music at Carnegie - Early Childhood Music Class with Sharon Neufeld

Begin a wonderful musical journey with your child at Little Music at Carnegie! This class is based on the Suzuki Philosophy of music education, and its goal is to nurture the natural development of the child from early ages, stimulating the rich partnerships that develop between parent, child, and teacher.

Two sessions are offered. One for ages 2-3 at 9:30am, one for ages 4-5 at 10:30am. Parent or caregiver must attend as well. The eight 45-minute classes start on Thursday., Jan. 18.

Little Music at Carnegie fosters a sense of purpose and an understanding of discipline, while building character, confidence, and independence. Through parent/child interaction and class participation, students begin to acquire attributes of trust, sharing, success, and communication. Using traditional nursery rhymes, action songs, story time, lullabies and instruments, Little Music at Carnegie seeks to build on the child’s natural delight in learning and lay the foundation for musical skills such as beat, rhythm, pitch, tone, and musicality.

This class will also serve as a wonderful stepping stone to instrument lessons for those who wish to continue their musical journey in that way.
