Coffee and Cards

Have a fun little painting experience with your girlfriends or sisters over the Thanksgiving weekend! Crossings is offering a watercolor class with the finished products being five charming holiday cards, bright with red bows and packages, snowmen and snow-covered trees. Coffee will keep your fingers warm and spirits bright as you follow Courtney Armstrong’s instructions. This class is on Sat., Nov 25, from 10am-12pm.

Teens 16 years and older are welcome, as are co-workers, mom groups, dad groups and the aforementioned girlfriends and sisters. You each get five holiday cards to paint plus lots of laughs and conversation. Try out this artform, if you are new to watercolor, or use this class to brush up on your skills.

Courtney Armstrong will be teaching a six week session starting in January. Graduating with a BA from the University of Minnesota at Winona, she was raised in Minnesota but has been 38 years in Denver being a Western gal working in the arts. She has had three solo shows, participated in five to six shows per year in the Denver area and won awards from Honorable Mention, Award of Excellence (this year) to first and second placings.

It has been her pleasure to watch artists grow for eight years teaching beginning classes in drawing, pastel and watercolor.  Courtney enjoys teaching a great deal and especially love drawing.  It is the foundation of art and thus the most important part.

Price is $25. To sign up for this class, call 507-732-7616 or stop in to Crossings at 320 East Avenue in Zumbrota.
