Beginning Pottery Wheel: Learn to Throw a Bowl!

Want to learn the art of making functional pottery on the potter's wheel? Pottery Wheel Instructor Diane Lund will teach participants to center on the wheel, shape and trim pots, and more. The classes are suitable for beginners and those who have some experience with throwing pots.You'll gain the knowledge you need to become a clay studio member, should you choose. This six week class starts on Tues, Dec. 12, from 5:15-7:45 pm. Further dates are Dec. 19 and Jan. 2, 9, 16, 23

These classes have a maximum of ten students, ensuring plenty of student to teacher contact time, making them ideal if you have little or no experience with clay and want to test your interest. Get your hands wet and enjoy the process. Wear old clothes, bring an old towel and get ready to work the wheel. Tool kits are available through Crossings. Supply fee includes one bag of clay (25 pounds), all glazing materials, and use of studio tools.
